[Kenwood] TS-930S AM filter

Has anyone in the group tried the YK-88A-1 Am filter in the 930S? My  930 
came with the basic board with the L175 coil in the middle. With this  basic 
board, the CARRIER control has no effect. I have an inline AM monitor and  
when I test the transmit audio with it and headphones, it is excellent on 20, 
 15, and 10M, but bad on 40 and below. There are a lot of AM'ers in  this 
area, and they say the 930S can put out excellent AM, but I get the  
impression that the filter would help. And naturally, 40 M is their favorite  band.
