As Clif says, they are sub miniature 9v 60ma filament lamps.

For those in the USA I suggest that you try this model railway 
component supplier

You need wire ended lamps of 3mm diameter, and you can slip the little 
green silicon rubber caps from the original Kenwood lamps and reuse them 
on the replacements, you will also need small resistors to drop the 
voltage to that of the replacement lamps.
