[Kenwood] TS-180S Transverter Use

Hello-
    I thought someone here would know.
    I picked up a fairly nice TS-180S and am considering using it as an IF for my transverters. I have studied the operating and service manuals but cannot find any specifics regarding the use of the transverter connector. I have used a TS-830S as an IF for my transverters in the past, and I have the proper DIN connector for doing such. 
    My questions are:
        1. Will the transverter DIN cable for my TS-830S work for the TS-180S DIN socket (pin-out and function)?
        2. Are the low-level transverter transmit output levels of each radio similar?
        3. I recall that when using transverter with TS-830S I turned the Screen Grid switch off, however is there anything I need to do to the TS-180S in this regard?
