[Kenwood] Kenwood TS-570DG Receive Problem

Today I was operating on the JT65A digital mode on 40 meters when poof the 
receive audio dropped out 99% and the S meter stopped working. Has anyone 
ever experienced or heard of this problem with the TS-570DG?

My guess would be a problem in the AGC circuitry but I'm not a very good 
electronics troubleshooter anymore so would appreciate any comments and 
suggestions.
