I've got a TL-922A.
A month or so ago, it had a hot spot at 3985khz----a parasitic. It worked fine on every 3995, 3900, 3800, 3700, and 3600khz. I took it offline and looked it over very carefully. I inspected the plate chokes, and they were fine.
Back on the air the other day. Now, my xctr workd fine, through the amp. When the amp is keyed, I get full scale on reflected.
A guy told me what happening is I have a parasitic, and now whatever frequency it's on, is way off where my ant tuner is set----therefore, high swr.
Does anyone have any idea what circuit I should check to see what is causing the parasitic?
This could easily be beyond my capability. I may let a shop work on it. If it's something simple, maybe I can do it.
