[Kenwood] TS-850 Audible Whine ADDENDUM

If it isn't the power supply fan, it is the fan for the finals.  Either 
way, it is the same cure.

This would most likely be the power supply fan.

They were either made by Panasonic or Matshusta.  These are bushing 
motors.  Toss them!

Do yourself a favor.  Open the back up, and wire in a 12VDC Computer 
Ball Bearing CPU fan.

Not only will the whine stop, but you can easily drop the running 
current by half or more.

Did this to my TS-930SAT.  Cools well, and quiet as a mouse. Takes less 
to run, thereby drops the 12VDC power bus load.
