[Kenwood] TS-820S digital readout issues.

I have forgotten: what do I "massage" to get the digital readout in my TS-820S to settle 
down? The latest thing is that on bands above 40, it continuously counts to a certain number, 
then begins all over again. 40 and below, it works just fine...

The derned thing is sure less than 100% reliable... :-(

But, I guess it is pretty old...
