[Kenwood] TS-820S digital readout issue

Ken,

There are a bunch of things to look at and consider their connections.

Jack is correct - *if* the IC is bad.

However, what I have looked at is the entire *chain*.  The PLL boards 
have a glob of ICs in sockets, and the board connectors ALL develop 
contact issues.

One could spend a good deal of time re-seating them, and attempting to 
clean ALL connections/contacts.

I'm sending all of those circuits to Prof. Arnie Coro through a third 
party, so that Arnie can get his up to functioning again.

I'm absolutely amazed that these continue to work!  The age issue brings 
*all* of this into play and consideration.
