[Kenwood] Kenwood TR-9000

I was just given a old Kenwood TR-9000.

This was my first all mode 2 meter rig back in the late 70's or early 
80's Worked a LOT of stations with this little rig.

Anyway the reason it was given to me is because it isn't working,  here 
are the symptoms,

This unit only lights up.
The vfo dial functions as do some of the other positions.
No audio from the speaker and no output from the transmitter.

What do you all suggest to look at first to find out what may be the 
problem?
