[Kenwood] DSP SLOPE POTS

The TS 570D has DSP slope pots (hi & lo). In the owners manual page 37
(bottom right) is a chart with frequency selections. We would like to use
DSP in coping some sound card received data signals. All tones to me sound
alike. Can someone give me suggestions as to how I'll know when I have the
correct low and high freqs? What do you tackle first the lo or the hi?
