Subject: [Kenwood] TS-850 - Goes into transmit mode at power-on

Good morning all!

Two weeks after replacing my DC to DC board (info thanks to this group),
now my TS-850 goes directly into transmit at power-on.

I have checked to make sure the Send/Receive button was not pushed in,
disconnected everything but the 12V supply, examined the connector
sockets
(externally) for metallic debris that might be keying the rig and have
tried resetting the rig.

A brief search of the internet uncovered one person that found a failed
capacitor leaking across Pin 13 on the 15 pin port located on the back
of the rig.

Before I begin the disassembly process to check out my pin 13, I thought
I might ask the group for advice.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Mark
