The rig had been tested and was operating properly when it was shipped, so 
I suspect that, despite the excellent packing job the fellow I bought it from 
did, it got bounced around enough to shake something loose.

It doesn't work at all in CW, and the maximum power output into a dummy 
load is 50 watts.

Furthermore, the digital readout reads 9.000 for quite a while after it is turned 
on, then, beginning on the higher bands, 14 and above, it reads correctly, 
then later 7.000, then finally 3.5 and lower. But even then, it jitters.

My TS-940SAT quit transmitting very suddenly last night with no outward 
signs that anything at all was wrong, so I am presently without an operating 
rig, and I have a fairly heavy NTS schedule I have to meet.

I will probably resurrect my old Heathkit SB-102, or even my HW-16/VF-1, 
until I can get one of my more modern rigs operating. Either Heathkit will 
drive the SB-200 easily enough, but the HW-16 won't cover 20 meters, and 
neither one will do 160.
