[Kenwood] TS950SDX dead

Due to the well known problem with intermittent audio distortion on transmit I pulled out the PLL unit and sent it a Kenwood workshop to have CP1-CP4 resoldered. The soldering job was well done, but the radio has gone dead after the reinstallation of the PLL unit. There is 15/5 V on CN5 and all connectors and pins are okay. So what to look for?

Lights are on when I turn on the radio. When I turn it off the final fan is activated as it should. But the display doesn't show frequency, and there is no audio on receive. Only a slight hum is heard in the earphones.

The transmitter is totally dead when keyed. The ATU works when I switch bands.

The menu works, and so do all push buttons when engaged. Only the AF/RF control is dead.

Hopefully this will give you an idea, gentlemen, what to suspect.
