[Kenwood] TS850S SSB Transmit problem

   I recently stared to experience transmit problems with my trusty old TS 850. At first I thought I had a bad mic or mic cord but the problem persists with another mic. I then thought the problem was a oxidized mic jack which I cleaned with contact cleaner and De-oxit. Still the problem was there but, as before,  only intermitently. Now the rig refuses to transmit on SSB but has full output on CW. If anyone has any ideas on how to correct this problem I would sure like to hear from you as this is my primary radio and really enjoy using it. I have also heard on the bands that Kenwood is coming out with a new base radio in the future and would like my 850 to last at least that long. Does anyone have any info about this? Thanks. 73.
