Would you be interested in another TS-940? A member of my local club had one
for sale last Saturday and I believe it may still be available. Respond
directly to me (off the reflector) if you're interested.

Subject: [Kenwood] Backup rig - advice requested.
I am tentatively looking for an HF backup rig for my TS-940SAT. I am
considering some of the older Kenwood transceivers such as the TS-
820S, and others.
I would appreciate learning what the members of this list would
consider to be the most reliable of those older transceivers.
I am NOT particularly interested in all the "bells and whistles" as I
am not going to use this for contesting. Most of my ham radio work is
on CW and/or some digitail, primarily for traffic-handling.
What I would like to aquire is a simple, reliable, 100 watts or so
output transceiver, although I would like to have digital readout.
12 VDC capability would be a bonus, but is not absolutely necessary.
I am experienced at repairing almost any piece of equipment, although
simpler would require less time for such repairs.
