[Kenwood] TL-922 Tune Up Question?

I've been "playing" with a TL-922 checking it out into a Bird 50 ohm load
and have a curious question. 

The amp tunes and loads as expected on 80 through 10 meters. On 160 meters,
it also tunes and loads as expected however the panel markings confuse me. 

The way the panel marking is shown for 160 there is a broad line and then a
thin line that extends all the way to the end of Tune capacitance. In my
case the resonant point occurs not where the 160 meter broad line exists,
rather about mid-scale over the 80-40 meter area yet still in the thin line
160 meter range (as I interpret it).

Am I to interpret that "normal" range includes the broad line as well as the
thin line or is there just too much capacitance on 160 meters and if so any
ideas what would cause that?

It may be perfectly normal but since I've never used one before I just
didn't know. The TL-922 is a very impressively built amplifier and one that
should be as popular and simple to use and maintain as the Collins 30L-1,
another classic!
