[Kenwood] Even Kenwood don't know (or wont say) the size of the fuses in their rigs!!

As you may have seen, I was looking to find the physical size needed for the
mains fuse of an TS-940SAT I have on order from the USA. I know the current
ratin of the fuses needs to be changed from 6 A to 4 A when run from 230 V AC,
but did not know the size.

I phoned a friend who has such a rig, but his was very difficult to get at, as
he has built it into a frame where removing a rig is no easy task. So he decided
to ask Kenwood for me. They said they did not know, and the only way was to
order the fuses from them!

Thankfully a couple of hams on this list have verified the fuses are 1 1/4" by
1/4", and NOT the 20 mm fuses that are also commonly used. Someone said they
were fast blow devices (which surprises me a bit), but I ordered some 4 A fast
below fuses, which arrived today. (The rig is still not here).

It does seem unreasonable for me for a manufacturer to not disclose the physical
size of a fuse, but insist fuses are bought from them.
