[Kenwood] TR7800 Transmit Issue

Two Questions:

1.     Is there a convenient way to search the Kenwood Archives?



2.     A friend of mine was adding a Communications Specialists TE-32 Tone
Encoder to his TR-7800.  After installation, it wouldn’t transmit.  I
checked his installation and it looks good.  I think it is a coincidence
that the power went out.  I think I have tracked the problem down to the
Final Unit board.  When I first key up there is a power spike but then the
power drops off to nothing.  At first I thought it was the shut down circuit
but it appears that even on low power it won’t transmit, and it should if
the shut down circuit were the problem, and if I understand the circuit
properly.  What I don’t understand is how the Power Module (Q6 – M57733)
functions.  I can’t find a Datasheet for it.  Does anyone have a Datasheet
or a link where I can find more information on it?
