Hello all.

I am glad this topic has come up. I have a TS 430S with basically this exact problem, but
the difference being that after the rig has been on a short time the critter acts as if
the the antenna has been unplugged. Another problem is when I connect the plug to the
radio, it does exactly the same as yours. I have checked all connections, and have found nothing wrong. I now suspect either a bad SO-239 connector, or a bad relay.

While I am typing, I may as well ask about another problem. I have a very good TS-120S
that has a problem with the transmit metering. It will not indicate the Ic, or the ALC. I
read where there was a problem with the pushbutton switch on the front panel. I have
cleaned the switch, with no results, and it shows OK when I check it with a VOM. It
started out as an intermittent problem, but now it doesn't work at all.

Thanks in advance for your knowledge and advice.

73,
Jimmy, W9JDH
