The new TH-D72 was said to be compatible with the features of TM-D710, TS-2000 and TS-480 (as the TH-D7A(G) is currently) using SkyCommand, etc. I didn't hear what the price was being proposed.

Another new Kenwood radio on display at Dayton was the TH-D72, the TH-D7A(G) replacement. Kenwood rep had a "real one" in his hand, with a mockup on display at the booth. The TH-D72 is a 2m/70cm dual band, similar in size and appearance as the TH-D7A(G) but with an internal integrated GPS and APRS functionality. Kenwood rep said the TH-D72 should be available for purchase around December 2010.

I saw the new Kenwood HF/6 meter rig at Dayton (believe it was designated as the model number TS-590), but the couple guys there with it in the booth
offered little info on it. About all I could extract from anyone was
that brochures would be available "in a few months". No info given on price.
I suspect it's not gone thru type acceptance yet. It appeared to be
very similar to the discontinued TS-570 (believe the new '590 radio was to have 6 meters included on all units, not optional like was done with the
'570). So far, have seen nothing in print except the teaser ads in QST, etc.
