Kenwood's Dayton booth has been pathetic for years. And really, how else
should it be? They haven't had anything new to show for TEN YEARS!! Year
after year, dusty TS-2000s, TS-480s, TH-F6As are wheeled out for Dayton.
Nothing new, nothing innovative, nothing interesting. And I'm not sure
the "TS-590" does anything to change that, really. After all, it's just
an updated TS-570, with I.F. DSP and roofing filters. This is what
Kenwood fans get more than 10 years after the TS-950SDX was discontinued?

I'm not sure how an updated TS-570 should fetch an $1800 street price,
given the competition at that price point. I know it's supposedly going
to have Elecraft K3 performance, but it lacks the upgradeability of the K3.
