>Hello to all:
>Thank you for all the neat suggestions about helping me with my DSP problems.
>As it stands right now, here are some known's:
>1) The External DSP -100 does not work with the Kenwood TS 950 SDX

>3) Many have told me the DSP-100 is much better then the DSP - 10 which is in

>4) The repairman, Cliff of AVVid tells me he can't find parts nor a unit that is whole
>for me to replace the bad one in my 950 SDX.
>5) I renew my efforts in trying to find a used or if possible NEW DSP unit that goes

Conrad,
I have a crazy proposition for you. I have a Kenwood TS-950SDX, 43
million Serial Number sitting here on my desk. It has that dreaded
Chip resister pack problem.
I cannot afford to ship it to Clif to get it fixed, nor can I afford
to pay the repair bill, as I am unemployed. Well, I write on my blog
for a living, but I don't make a enough currently to afford all that.
What really stinks is, I do not have any other rig to use. :( and I've
got a brand new antenna, that I and my friend Matt, AC8AC built and
put up over the summer. and I cannot even use it. :(
Anyhow, here is my WILD proposition. I don't expect you to accept it.
But here it is.
If you send me enough money to, or ordered and shipped to me the following:
NEW Astron RS-35A Power Supply (25 amp - 35 amp surge...)
NEW Kenwood TS-2000 with ALL filters Installed (AES does this...)
Ameritron AL-80B (I know it's a stretch, but I thought I'd try it...) Amplifier
and toss in about 150-200 to cover shipping. You would have a Kenwood
TS-950SDX to get your DSP unit out of. It would be just the radio
itself, No Manuals, Boxes or anything. Just the radio.
I doubt you'd be interested in this, but, I thought I'd try.
If interested contact me off list. Although, I won't hold my breath,
lest I turn blue and croak.
73 es tnx...
