[Kenwood] What's the difference?

Have a TS-50 here and the label says TS-50S. Its in like new shape as I purchased it new from Kenwood direct a few years ago, as I am a dealer.
Don't understand why all the fuss.

I had a similar experience a few years ago when I sold an MC 60 A. There is 
no "A" on the mic itself, so at first the buyer thought I had ripped him 
off. Great how these misunderstandings develop.
