[Kenwood] TS-480 - "Real" Remote operation

Is there any hardware/software  that will allow connecting the TS-480
front panel as a remote in the far location and the radio near the
antenna? I was thinking If the TS-480 was build with a thought for
"remote operating"  why not using the front panel (wireless) in the far
location and operating the radio hooked to the antenna. This way you get
a real "feeling" of the radio and not just a GUI software. I think maybe
it will be possible if we will know the front panel protocol to the
radio.
