[Kenwood] Collecting TS-830 Serial and Manual Numbers

    Happy New Year.
    I have discovered what I believe to be at least one significant factory 
revision/addition to the TS-830's, and these were maybe (or not) done according to 
Service Bulletins. Am wanting to learn how to decode the dates of mfr. which 
correspond to the 6-digit serial numbers of the TS-830S?
    Also, were there any Service Manuals other than 1980 or 1981? See back page of 
your Service manual for the date.
    Ultimately I am also hoping to determine which Service Manual Revision. #'s 
correspond to the serial number crossover.
    Please let me know your radio s/n's and Service Manual dates, and if you know 
it, the code to decipher the S/N dates of mfr.
