[Kenwood] New Kenwood Transceivers 2010

Hello Kenwood Reflector,




Kenwood is coming out with a NEW HF/50 MHz transceiver, and a NEW handheld 
APRS/Kenwood Sky Command/TNC/DX Packet Cluster/GPS transceiver in 2010.

They will most likely be shown @ Dayton Hamvention May 2010.


The NEW HF/50 MHz HF transceiver that WILL be introduced in 2010 and will 
replace the Kenwood TS-570SG with new features, and a hot receiver

The NEW handheld will be replacing the TH-D7AG WILL also be introduced in 2010 
with APRS/Kenwood Sky Command/TNC/DX Packet Cluster/GPS.

Kenwood previewed a Concept radio at last year's Tokyo Hamfair.  Since then
"TS-580" has been attached by some to the rig.  There are some photos to be
seen on the internet that apparently came out of that show.  Try searching
Kenwood TS-580 and/or Concept.  Exterior-wise, it looks like an updated
TS-570.

A rumor apparently originating at the Kenwood booth came out of the Orlando
Hamfest.  'Expect something new from Kenwood at Dayton.'

There is also a rumor of a possible higher end radio, though perhaps farther
in the future.
