[Kenwood] TM-V71a receiver audio problem

Hi,

Last week, I lost audio output from both receivers in the tm-v71a.  I hear no audio at all and have tried the internal as well as external speakers.  The receivers are receiving signals  but no audio at all, no beeps or any audio output.  I've tried a full reset  several times.  Any ideas anyone?  

Also, can anyone  suggest a Kenwood service center that would be less expensive than the minimum $100.00 that Kenwood East will charge?
