[Kenwood] Kenwood TS-140 Low Receive

Hello To the Group

 I have a nice Kenwood TS-140 but the the receive seems to be low..I get 20 
over S9 signals on 75 Meter, But when no one is talking the meter drops to 0 
even with the noise on 75 meters It still shows nothing on the meter..and 
this is the same on all the other bands, And on the High bands (10 Meters ) 
i get hardly no signal on any of the local 10 Meter guys here around the 
area unless they are really really close...I thought maybe just the meter 
adjustement inside the radio was off but its not...Can any one Help...Thanks
