[Kenwood] TS-940S AM Filter Question

I'd appreciate some advice and/or opinions on an issue with my TS-940S.

I'm considering installing an Inrad #100 (6Khz 8-pole crystal filter) or
an Inrad #475 (4KHz 8-pole crystal filter) AM filter.

Is there an advantage to installing one over the other?

Is there any point to installing one at all?

Colorado is not a hot-bed of AM activity and I do not have a great
antenna (It's OK ...not great).

Maybe it's a waste of $115.00?

Advice/opinions appreciated.
