[Kenwood] Need TS-520 history

I'd be hard-pressed to limit the number to four. The Collins S-Line can be used as a transceiver as well as separates; I believe the Drake Twins could operate that way, too. Heath's SB-102 outshone the HW-101; the relatively gutless Swan 350 was a hot item in its day; the Kenwood Twins - the R-599 and T-599 -  could transceive and I'm sure there are more.

Ahoy!  I'm writing up a little paper for my radio club on what I believe 
are the four most famous transceivers of the tube era.  One of these has 
to be the TS-520 (series).  I have information on the genesis of the 
other three (KWM-2, TR-4, HW-101), but am lacking info on the 520.  If
