Joe....

Don't set your power out for 100 watts....you'll fry your finals for sure.
Page 59 in the Users' Manual tells you that the radio is ONLY designed for a 50% duty cycle for digital comms. 
50 watts O/P for RTTY is usually plenty..
For PSK, I use 15-20 watts O/P...that's seems to be plenty of power for working half way around the world (you don't really want to go any further than that, do you?).
