[Kenwood] IF-232C Interface

Hi David and Ed,

    Thanks for the quick replies in an effort to help me with my interface
issue. I am using the supplied din cable that came with the IF-232C and I
think it is about 4' long. The serial cable to the computer is a 6' cable
and I have not experienced any severe t'storms locally.
    I have tried other rig control software besides HRD and still no joy.
The serial port functions properly with other applications. I can use it to
communicate with my Rascal interface that is tethered to my Icom 751A.
    I did a master reset on the 850 and still no communications between that
rig and any application. Kind of a head scratcher for sure. Thanks guys for
chiming in and making those suggestions so far. I'm still optimistic that it
will be resolved soon.
