[Kenwood] Kenwood SM-220 woes

Not that it's any consolation, but take a look at the QRZ forums on this guy:

I was hearing horror stories over seven years ago both over the Internet as well as over several ham swap nets and ebay continues to allow him to sell.  Ebay is far more interested in keeping their fees coming in and appearing to be a "safe place to trade" rather than protecting anyone.
Of course I've read lots of hamfest horror stories of old.  It's just that with the Internet, the crooks can make a  living off of victims continuously rather than simply dumping off junk once just to be rid of it.
