[Kenwood] TL-922A; Plate Tune Control Setting

Hi, Folks....

I have a TL-922A amp that works perfectly with respect to all operating parameters/specifications....except for one discrepancy.? After tuning as per instructions for maximum RF output on 80/75 Meters, Plate control indicator ends up dead-center on the 7 MHz position.? This condition exists whether tuning into a dummy load or into my 80M dipole at fundamental resonance point.? 

I've?studied both the operating and service manuals until I nearly have them memorized, and the only thing I've come away with is the possibility that the 80M tuned input slug is out of adjustment.? I have not tuned the amp on any other Band.? To much money invested and too nice an amp to jeapordize without some input on this problem.
