[Kenwood] TS-940 Sub Display

Are you talking about the meter light (left side) or the green backlight 
(right side)?

The bulb for the right side (green display) is B30-0835-08 and is available 
from Burghardt Amateur Center.  I don't think they are 12 volt but I've 
forgotten what voltage they are.

The following was sent to me when I made a similar inquiry:

First remove the top & bottom case. On each side
of the chassis up front you'll see 3 screws . Remove 2, leaving
one  as a swivel point for the front. Let the front of the
chassis hang over the workbench. Rotate the front chassis
down, giving you the sight of the LCD. It's not necessary to remove the LCD
since the GREEN LEDs can be removed & replaced from there.  Be sure the
LED's you're using are the correct voltage.  If not put a resistor in series
with it.
