I don't think it's a matter of the DeOxit not working and that Stabilant 22
does.  I think it's more of a matter that they work in differing ways and
judging by the chatter on the various forums, both do.  I have extensive
personal experience of it working from my years in the automobile
electronics field.  I have no experience with DeOxit, saw it mentioned a lot
and decided to try some.  The stabilant people give a pretty good
description of how their product works.  I just wish the DeOxit people would
write their webpage copy as if they were talking to an engineer, not a
consumer who they wish to part from his or her money.

I saw this after my last post - what are the principles on which each work? 
And now I feel dumb for having invested a small fortune in deOxit for my
tool kit.....

I started using Stabilant 22A many years ago, when I discovered an IT
technician using it to cure noise problems on card-edge connectors in
desktop computers.  Later, I learned that Motorola found it so useful in
radio systems that it was assigned a Motorola part number- 1180369E78.  It
has a proven track record, and I find no reason to experiment with any other
product.  I know that Stabilant 22A works, every time.  Since deOxit works
on a different principle, I would not expect it to compete with Stabilant.

Does anyone have comparative, anecdotal experience with using Stabilant as
opposed to the deOxit line of products, of which I've just laid in what I
hope is a lifetime supply, considering their prices!

As an automotive electrical and on board computer diagnostician for
the last 30+ years, I have been using it for the last 9-10 years with
extreme success!  It is especially helpful on tin plated connectors.

I want to thank John @ LPC Wireless for helping with my USB & LSB
trouble on my TS-940S. He was the only one that knew how to fix it. It
turned out to be the Digital A board. Unplugging each plug then plugging
them all back in fixed it. Also I found out it fix the SSB Slope Turn
control which was to be my next fix so got 2 in 1.
