Rob,

Just some suggestions. The DP (D+) and DM (D-) need 47pf caps to ground for
loading and decoupling, preferably as close to the USB connector as
possible. Ferrite beads are highly desirable for RFI/EMI on any wire going
off board.

Unless there is something I am missed, when you open SJ1, VCCIO is open. For
5V I/O, pin 4 (VCCIO) needs to be jumpered to PIN 20 (VCC) unless you are
doing that on JP1 pins 1-8 and just forgot to mention it in the notes.

Hi Everyone,

I recently wanted to update my computer control cable on my TS-850SAT to a
USB one with RTS/CTS support.  It took me a bit of work to get it all sorted
out, but the result was worth it, especially with IF-232C units still going
for more than $50 on ebay. 


This interface should work with the following Kenwood radios:  TS-50, TS-60,
TS-140, TS-440, TS-450, TS-680, TS-690, TS-711, TS-721, TS-790, TS-811,
TS-850, TS-950, R-5000.
