Hi gang....
I need advice on replacing the VCO cap for VCO-D on 430mhz in my 790A....It
works fine for 30 minutes or so, then fails.
I've tried freez-it which worked for abt 3 months, then contact cleaner
which worked for another month, then finally some diluted flux remover which
worked for 3 weeks, and now the ckt dies after 20-30 minutes....
Is there a straightforward way to remove this board or the entire assembly,
or...?
Otherwise , the rig is Kenwood superb...! The very best weak-signal rig
I've ever used....the TX inhibit works perfectly for sequencing, even on CW,
and even with remote or RS-232 type keying...!
Help would be much appreciated... 73...Jordan....
