[Kenwood] NB Knob for TS-870-in process of buying rig

The knobs seem to be somewhat fragile.  If they crack, they don't stay on easily.  One of my filter knobs had a crack in it and ended falling apart.  I bought 2 spares after reading that someone else had that problem.  Before ordering, take all your knobs off and check underneath them for any cracks.  That way you can place just one order for replacements rather than several. 



That should not keep you away from the 870 however, it is a very nice radio.

Folks: I am thinking about purchasing a TS-870, only thing is that the NB knob is missing. 
Is it unusual for the knob to fall off? Could something be damaged? 
I checked with Kenwood and they are only 10.00
