[Kenwood] TS-2000 Question

I have a ts-2000 connected to my computer with the Rascal interface.  I'm running HRD under VMware on an iMac and so far all has worked well.   When I try to use digital modes, I, of course, must plug in the 13 pin plug on ACC2.   When I do that, the main transmit light turns red  like it does when I transmit on phone.   My question is, is this normal?   If not what do I do?
