[Kenwood] TS2000 Rx on SSB/AM problem

Hello,

I have this TS2000 belonging to a friend which has Rx problems on SSb and AM. FM seems to be fine. When trying to Rx with another TX adjacent to it (to tx test signals) we do hear very faint signals, but zero s meter. However with FM it seems to be the usual full scale on the S meter.. 

Any ideas on what may have gone wrong?
