[Kenwood] IF-10B digital unit questions

The kenwood service manuals usually have component information.  I'd  
try getting a service manual for the TS940S and see if that EPROM  
information is in there.  If you don't have one, and are unable to  
find it on-line (I have not tried so I don't know how it is available)  
try W7FG vintage manuals, www.w7fg.com I think, and order a copied  
one.   the reproductions are good; I have done this with the TS850 and  
the service was pretty fast and the reproduction quality top notch-- 
the manual was certainly useable as a service tool.    It sounds like  
you like your 940 judging by all the trouble you are going to so you  
may as well have the service manual for it. If the chip is still  
available it can probably be purchased from East Coast Transistor or  
Pacific Parts.
