[Kenwood] TS-530SP Serial Number Sequence

Hi Bill,
If you look at the ICs throughout the set you will see the IC code 
number plus a four figure number such as 8634. These will vary with each 
IC. This is the date of manufacture of the IC, week after the 34th 
Monday in the year 1986. The latest date would be the most recent 
manufactured unit before that board was assembled . With most 
manufacturers the boards don't sit around too long before the set is 
assembled . So the set will have been assembled within say 6 weeks of 
the latest date of IC manufacture. Hope this helps.
