[Kenwood] Kenwood TS 440 antenna tuner installation

Installing an Antenna Tuner and something is not working correct.   Wondered if anyone has pics of what the connections should look like so I can verify.   I have the installation instructions and there is some quesiton on the 8 pin connector and if it should be used.   It is there and appears to fit on the tuner but the instructions do NOT mention it.   Any assistance is appreciated.
