[Kenwood] TS2000 problem

This appears to be RF overload and receiver "desensing" caused by the near by transmitter. I suspect when the near by transmitter is not transmitting, the TS-2000 hears quite well.

Using a transmitter as a signal source can be done but the signal source transmitter's output should be reduced to a very low level, a watt or less, and fed to a dummy load that is not in close proximity of the receiver's antenna under test. Try reducing the signal source transmitter's output to a very low level.

Hello,

I have this TS2000 which has Rx problems on SSb and AM. FM seems to be fine.
When trying to Rx with another TX adjacent to it (to tx test signals) we do hear
very faint signals, but zero s meter. However with FM it seems to be the usual
full scale on the S meter..

Any ideas on what may have gone wrong?
