Hello Bob,

The SM-230 can be used as a bandscope with any transceiver having an IF frequency of 8.830Mhz.

As for simply monitoring the RF output, it can be used with any transmitter/ transceiver or linear amplifier that does not exceed the maximum power rating of the SM-230.
