using. Under the top sliding cover it has two very small toggle
switches which are not listed in any of the specs, nor have I been
able to figure out what they might be for: (electronically challenged
as I seem to be). I've been hesitant to (use/mess with) them because
of not knowing what they do or how they should be set. Any chance
that your 930 has these two very tiny switches and that you might
know what they are for????
A good guess would be:
1. Increase the display resolution from 0.1 kHz to 0.01 kHz.
2. Decrease the tuning rate from 10 kHz to 5 kHz per turn.
Both of these were very simple mods that involved grounding one
pin. Both would be easy to check by toggling the switches and
looking for the display resolution to change and observing the
amount of frequency shift for one revolution of the VFO knob.
Of course they could be something else but that's my guess.
