[Kenwood] TS850 Transmit receive switching problem

I have a TS850 on the bench at the moment with a problem I haven't seen 
before. The radio works well for the first 5 minutes or so but after 
that it will not return to receive properly after transmitting. This 
seems to happen on all modes and sometimes it is even enough to just 
switch modes and have the problem occur. Attempting to transmit out of 
band sometimes restores receive but failing that a power cycle seems to 
be the only way.

Sounds like something going bad when it gets warm but I have not been 
able so far to identify where. RX bias and TX bias lines seem to be 
going up and down as they should.

Any ideas?
