[Kenwood] Receivers: TS830 vs TS850

I use to participate in what is called a "QRP Fox Hunt" where there was
one "Fox" and 75 to 100 "Hounds".  The Fox would show up on 40 meters
(set time and a fixed range of where he/she could be) and start calling
CQ FOX.  Once you were "found" the pileup was unbelievable - sounded
more like a buzz than anything else.  I'd use my 830 when I was both the
fox and the hound and it could easily pick out one hound out of the pack
or zoom in on the fox so that someone with just ONE year of experience
(me) could compete.

Never used an 850 but I can't see it being any better than the 830.

I have recently stumbled upon a couple of messages and radio reviews
that suggest that the Kenwood TS830S has a better overall receiver than
the TS850. Now I thought that the 850 has one of the best receivers
ever.  Is this true, does the 830 really have an even better receiver?
