[Kenwood] Ts-930s question regarding the buzzer?

Good Afternoon All.

I recently purchased this rig and the manual does not explain what the buzzer is all about. There
is an adjustment for it, but I have not found it's purpose. Maybe I am missing something, but I
haven't been able to make it buzz. Buzzing usually means bad, or the mother in law is at the door,
also bad. What is it's purpose?

Has anyone tried the roofing filter?

Does anyone have a quiet power supply fan that they would be willing to sell?
